Tritium and EVCS will install 300 new electric vehicle fast chargers in California, Oregon, and Washington.

For EVCS’ network expansion, Tritium will offer 300 extra 50kW versions of the company’s award-winning RTM fast charger.

California is TORRANCE EVCS , one of the major EV fast-charging network providers on the West Coast, and Tritium DCFC Limited, a global leader in direct current (DC) fast chargers for electric cars (EVs), are collaborating to deploy 300 new chargers throughout California, Oregon, and Washington. The order includes 300 50kW Tritium RTM fast chargers, bringing the total number of Tritium DC fast chargers that have contributed to the EVCS network to over 800. Partnerships like these are essential to ensuring public fast charging can handle the increased demand brought on by the anticipated mass consumer adoption of EVs in the upcoming years. More states are expected to follow California’s lead in enacting legislation that requires 100 percent of newly sold vehicles to generate zero emissions by 2035.

EVCS intends to improve public fast charging accessibility by streamlining complicated pricing and expanding location coverage. With over 1,500 chargers expected to be installed by the end of 2023, EVCS’ carbon-neutral network and unlimited subscription charging plan will offer EV drivers a growing selection of public charging options as well as significant discounts.

According to Gustavo Occhiuzzo, CEO and founder of EVCS, the company is thrilled to expand its cooperation with Tritium and deploy more than 300 Tritium DC fast chargers on the West Coast by the middle of 2023. Since the West Coast is where approximately half of all EVs in the country are registered, EVCS has quickly established itself as one of the owner-operators of DC fast chargers with the quickest rate of growth.

Many of the more than 500 DC fast chargers that will be added to EVCS’ network as part of the improvement of the West Coast Electric Highway were already built when Tritium and EVCS announced an agreement in November 2021. Building on this first investment, the new fast chargers will be placed in high-traffic sites, such as shopping malls and transportation hubs, underserved neighborhoods with insufficient access to chargers, and close to highways and tourist attractions. With plans to expand coverage to more than 35 new locations throughout California, Oregon, and Washington as well as boost charger density in existing EVCS areas, the collaboration significantly helps to the network’s growth.

According to Jane Hunter, CEO of Tritium, “EV charging infrastructure is expanding at an unprecedented rate in the US, and it’s vital that this expansion gives drivers equal access to public fast charging.” We are pleased to have contributed to the democratization of the EV charging experience through our cooperation with EVCS, making it more accessible to all current and future EV drivers. We’re thrilled to be a part of this technological revolution and to aid in EVCS’ expansion as a long-time client and business partner.

Recently, Tritium and the Motor Fuel Group Forecourt Network launched a new project that will install more than 100 DC fast chargers across the United Kingdom and help the nation’s environmental movement more broadly. The company also said that its largest worldwide manufacturing facility will open in Tennessee, gaining the attention of President Joe Biden , and that it has formed important alliances with titans in the sector like BP , Shell, , Wise EV , and Osprey . EVCS 0, which EVCS announced earlier this month, will help the firm increase its charging network services throughout the West Coast and ultimately help EVCS reach its objective of doubling its network footprint by 2023.

EVCS was established in 2018 and has since grown to be one of the West Coast’s largest and fastest-growing networks for electric vehicle charging. With a turn-key strategy that uses public and private funding sources to promote the establishment of fast-charging facilities, EVCS is upending the mobility power business while using only 100 percent renewable energy. To develop and expand its net zero carbon network, EVCS has engaged approximately 150 partner sites and received over $50M in government support. The goal of EVCS is to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles with zero emissions in order to reduce emissions while also enhancing air quality. Visit AA12 for additional details.
