The Ideal Vespa For A Terminator 2 Reboot Is Bandit9

Teenage John Connor will attempt to flee the liquid metal T1000 on the all-electric Bandit9 Nano when the powers that be in Hollywood finally get around to rebooting the Terminator franchise (again).

With its 904L polished steel fairing, the Vietnamese Bandit9 brand is promoting an art deco, Metropolis-like aesthetic while stepping up its desire to compete marketingly with the iconic Vespa brand (which, aside from Royal Alloy/LML, is the only scooter brand I am aware of producing steel-bodied bikes).

According to the company’s website, Vespa has been unchallenged for decades. “There is simply no other option; they are lovely, timeless, and reasonably priced. We admire, fear, and love them. We will immediately engage in combat with them.

NOT JUST A BEAUTIFUL FACE The Gogoro-style 4.2-kWh removable li-on battery is located under the seat of the steely Nano e-moped and can be changed out or recharged away from the bike (for example, in a dorm or office) in roughly four hours.

It’s also important to note that the Nano’s battery powers a robust 4000 W electric motor integrated into the rear hub, which gives it about 5.3 hp and places it in the meatier end of the 50 cc ICE moped range. The Vietnamese company is taking on the challenge of developing a battery seemingly on its own, a strategy echoed by fellow Vietnamese firm, VinFast.

At $4,499, that combination has a top speed of 45 km/h (27 mph) and a range of 60 miles (96 km), although the more expensive Nano (which costs $4,999) has a top speed of 70 km/h (43 mph) and a similar range.

In the photo gallery down below, you can see a few more images of this futuristic new electric moped. Then, in the comments section at the bottom of the page, tell us what you think of its liquid metal style.
