Ioniq 6 Prices

The Ioniq 6 First Edition, a swoopy electric sedan that started with the slim, futuristic Prophecy concept car exhibited in 2020, has announced pricing and specifications from Hyundai Motor UK. The Ioniq 6 is built on Hyundai’s E-GMP electric vehicle chassis and comes with a variety of cutting-edge technologies and a roomy, customer-focused cabin, the manufacturer claims somewhat breathlessly. The First Edition also benefits from an increased range of up to 320 miles (WLTP) on a single charge. The Ioniq 6 has one of the lowest drag coefficients of any production car, at just 0.21.

Customers can choose from Biophilic Blue Pearl, Serenity White Pearl, Nocturne Grey Metallic, and Gravity Gold Matte for the outer body colors. (To come up with those names, the marketing staff must have put forth a lot of time.) The IONIQ 6 will also be offered in the Premium and Ultimate trim levels. They will soon have prices and specifications, but those who select the First Edition model will discover that it starts at £54,995 in the UK.

The dual-motor, all-wheel-drive engine in the First Edition automobiles has a 77.4 kWh battery and produces 325 PS (320 horsepower) of power and 605 Nm (446 ft-lb) of torque. The 800V charging system for the E-GMP platform, which is compatible with 350 kW ultra-fast chargers, also features a battery heating system to provide optimum charging times under all circumstances. Customers will receive a complimentary one-year subscription to the IONITY Premium package, which gives them access to more than 400,000 charging stations throughout Europe with AC and DC plugs.

The interior of the Ioniq 6 is finished in environmentally friendly materials and hues, continuing Hyundai’s commitment to sustainability. The seats are composed of recycled PET fabric and eco-process leather, while the headliner is covered in bio-PET fabric and the floor mats are made of ECONYL®, a regenerated nylon yarn that can be utilized to create sustainable products.

Customers are encouraged to register for the introduction of the Ioniq 6 First Edition at the business’ dedicated webpage . Customers will be able to complete their reservation request form after this online-only event begins on November 9 at 9:00am.

A sliding sunroof, vehicle-to-load capabilities, the standard assortment of electronic driving aid technologies, and a Bose premium sound system are among the highlights of the Ioniq 6 First Edition. A heads-up display and a 360-degree view are also included in the First Edition package. The Ioniq 6 has a 2.9-meter wheelbase, 14.5 liters of cargo space in the frunk, and 401 liters more in the trunk.

THE IONIQ 6 REMINDERS The Hyundai Ioniq 6 has just begun manufacturing in South Korea, and the manufacturer anticipates that the first sales to the US will start in the next spring. The car’s EPA ratings are not yet available, and costs in the US have not been disclosed.

The Tesla Model 3 shouldn’t have any trouble competing with this sleek vehicle. How many US consumers will choose to purchase an electric sedan in a market that is flooded with light trucks and SUVs will be the question. The Ioniq 6’s availability in all 50 states or only those that adhere to California’s pollution regulations is the other concern for US consumers.

The Ioniq 6 stands out from all other vehicles in the road. Depending on your perspective, that may be either a bonus or a drawback. To accommodate practically every preference, Hyundai and Kia are loading their showrooms with a variety of electric vehicles. One can only speculate as to whether they have less priced EVs in the works.
