The ENYAQ iV 80 FestEVal, a variation of KODA’s iV 80 wagon that includes essential equipment for camping, music festivals, or other outdoor experiences, was recently unveiled.
KODA UK created and constructed the one-of-a-kind ENYAQ iV 80 FestEVal for summer 2022. It is possible to travel and stay at festivals and on camping vacations with zero emissions thanks to the trunk-mounted camping box with an extended bed, a luxurious rooftop tent, and various campground amenities.
The ENYAQ iV 80 FestEVals camping setup is made up of only easy-to-use components. In a press release outlining the project, the business stated. As soon as campers arrive at the campsite, space-saving camping chairs and a table are set up and collapsed, ready for use. The eight-speaker ENYAQ iVs sound system allows campers to continue the celebration after the music has finished onstage, while inside ambient lighting adds to the ambiance into the evenings.
The center of attention at the ENYAQ iV 80 FestEVal is a cutting-edge boot-based camping structure created by Czech company EGOE. The EGOE box, which precisely fits into the roomy 585-liter boot, is one of the first of its size and dimensions. A robust double bed with a memory foam mattress is provided, along with plenty of storage underneath, and it slips out of the car’s boot with ease thanks to its easy-gliding rails. It is perfect for folks on the go who need to sleep while they are moving or park without having to lie flat when they arrive at their location. The back seats can be used even when traveling thanks to the device’s adaptability and design, and when the ENYAQ iV 80 FestEVal is parked at a campsite, it provides one of the vehicle’s two sleeping places.
The ENYAQ iV 80 FestEVal also has a top-of-the-line roof tent for individuals who prefer to camp in elegance and luxury. The suite-like sleeping area, which features a memory foam mattress, LED lighting, and panoramic views through the skylight, elevates the peacefulness of an electric automobile to new heights. The tent itself features netting inside for storage, a solar-powered fan, and an integrated torch for increased comfort and convenience. It can be set up and taken down in a matter of minutes.
When folded up, the tent doesn’t consume much range, according to KODA, thanks to its aerodynamic design, which complements the car’s already svelte shape. They report a drag coefficient of.257, which isn’t terrific but isn’t too bad when compared to most camping vehicles.
With a class-leading inside volume of 585 liters (1,710 liters with the rear seats folded) and a range of up to 338 miles between charges, the ENYAQ iV is the perfect car for all-electric road trips. The ENYAQ iV is ideal for lengthy trips and impromptu adventures because it has speeds up to 135kW, can be 80 percent charged in under 30 minutes, and has more than 10,000 public charging stations around the UK.
At this point, the only genuine question I have is why we don’t see cars like this in America. EVs make for a great camping vehicle in most respects. With the correct gear, they may be fairly comfortable, silent, and have a fantastic range. When boondocking, they supply power, and they can recharge while you sleep at RV parks. There have been a few businesses, like Rivian and Bollinger, making attempts to get into the US adventure vehicle market with electric pickup trucks and SUVs, but nothing that is really aimed at the camping and adventure market based on cars and wagons.
